Job summary

Chardon Woods is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our care team and help residents breathe easier and live better.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio license as a Respiratory Therapist, with CRT or RRT NBRC certification. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, and CPR certification is required or obtainable upon hire. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive respiratory care and education to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Ohio.
• CRT or RRT credential (NBRC certified).
• Prior experience in long-term care or a similar setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting care accurately.
• Assist in emergency respiratory interventions as needed.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory care and equipment use.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care.
