Job summary

Los Altos Post Acute in Los Altos, CA is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) per diem to provide respiratory care to subacute and long-term patients. The RT will follow physician orders, align with facility policies, and document treatments and patient responses.

Qualifications

• Active RT license in good standing.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred where applicable.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments (neb treatments, oxygen therapy, trach care, suctioning, etc.)
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory therapies as needed
