Job summary

Banyan Pulmonary Services is hiring Respiratory Therapists to provide hands‑on care across post‑acute facilities in the Springfield area. You’ll work with residents daily, track progress, and partner with nursing and physicians to improve outcomes.

In this in-person role, you’ll be the respiratory lead in the building with autonomy to drive care plans, while our backend team handles billing, scheduling, and compliance. This is a relationship‑driven, impact‑oriented opportunity.

Qualifications

• Active state and national RT license in good standing (RRT or CRT).
• Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
• Current BLS (or within 30 days of hire).
• ACLS if working ventilator units (or within 6 months of hire).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on respiratory care including nebs, assessments, and airway clearance.
• Track resident progress and adjust care plans over time.
• Partner with nursing and physicians to improve outcomes.
• Be the respiratory expert in the building.

The role, practically

• Setting: Travel between nearby partner facilities
• Schedule: Depends on FT/PRN status; 7 am - 7 pm shifts
• Physical: Frequent walking, standing, reaching and handling of respiratory equipment throughout the day
