Job summary

Montgomery Subacute in Plymouth Township, PA, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver skilled assessment, treatment, and education for residents with complex pulmonary needs.

This role features weekend shifts (7am–7pm on Saturdays and Sundays) with daily pay and a starting pay range of $40–$55 per hour. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to manage ventilator-dependent residents and ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RRT credential and current state licensure required.
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in a skilled nursing facility, LTACH, or hospital setting required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including lung capacity measurements and evaluation of blood gas levels.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents, including initiation of ventilator support when necessary.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents' respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress in accordance with clinical standards.
