Job summary

Banyan Pulmonary Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to lead patient care in a post-acute setting. You will provide hands-on respiratory treatments, monitor progress, and adjust plans in collaboration with nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Current state and national Respiratory Therapist licensure in good standing.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS if ventilator units involved (or within 30 days of hire/6 months).
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Respiratory Therapist (RT) at Banyan Pulmonary Services

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on respiratory care (nebs, assessments, airway clearance, etc.)

What You Need

• Active RT license (RRT or CRT)
• BLS (ACLS if working with vents can get after hire)
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Qualifications:

Regulatory Requirements

• Current state and national Respiratory Therapist licensure in good standing.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working with residents in ventilator units (or obtain within six months of hire).

• Knowledge of general clinical services and respiratory care practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Ability to handle complex or difficult situations professionally.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards in patient care.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Position requires walking for approximately 1012 hours per day.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and manual handling of equipment.
• Work performed under varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required to meet operational needs.
• Ability to tolerate high-pressure and fast-paced clinical environments.
• Requires talking, hearing, seeing, and fine motor coordination for patient care and equipment management.
