Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at Alleghany County Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC. The role supports hospital-wide respiratory care, with PRN, variable shifts and requires NBRC-registered RRT and NC licensure. BLS is required, and PALS/NRP and ACLS must be completed within set timelines.

The incumbent will collaborate with care teams, perform ventilatory support, and ensure patient safety with ongoing monitoring and testing as per policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved respiratory care program or NBRC-compliant requirements.
• RRT certification by NBRC and NC state licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• PALS and NRP must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Provides respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards and policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support as needed.
• Reports routine procedures to relief staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs and maintains competency for point-of-care testing per policy.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring for patient safety.
• Maintains professional knowledge and supports quality improvement efforts.
• Delivers age-specific patient care in line with Age-Specific Care Guidelines.
