Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care across adult and pediatric patients, including ventilator management and emergency response. The role may involve duties in various units as needed and alignment with facility competency requirements.

Required credentials include an NBRC-registered RRT and Michigan licensure or eligibility, with RRT to be obtained within four months if CRT entry is used.

Qualifications

• RRT certification required.
• CRT registry-eligible entry allowed; RRT must be obtained within 4 months to remain in RRT classification.
• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in Michigan or eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including treatments, monitoring, ventilator management, emergency airway support, and Code Blue/PRT calls.
• Assess respiratory status and develop care plans with documentation, charges, infection control, and EMR verification.
• Support pulmonary rehabilitation by supervising sessions, providing education, and coordinating home equipment and oxygen evaluations.
• Conduct pulmonary function and diagnostic testing (for trained therapists) including spirometry, lung volumes, and related equipment maintenance.
• Assist with cardiac diagnostic services and leadership tasks by performing EKGs, stress tests, and coordinating team activities.
