Job summary

BJC Healthcare's Progress West Hospital in St. Louis County seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for PRN shifts.

You will provide direct patient care, assessment, treatment planning and collaborate with nurses and physicians as part of the Respiratory Care team. The role supports advanced clinical skills including ventilator management and other respiratory procedures, with opportunities for education and leadership within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Advanced respiratory procedures familiarity (ECMO, ventilator support) and collaboration with healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and respiratory assessments.
• Plan, implement and evaluate respiratory care per clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients, families and staff; document and coordinate with the care team.
