Job summary

BJC Healthcare's Memorial Hospital Belleville is seeking a dedicated PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care Department. This role focuses on direct patient care, high-quality respiratory therapies, and education for patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The ideal candidate will bring strong critical care skills, ventilator management, and the ability to support ECMO and related procedures as needed while adhering to quality and safety

Qualifications

Assc or CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program completed.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) license/certification.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with the care team and document care.
Provide education and training on respiratory therapies to patients and staff.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per standards.
Apply advanced clinical respiratory expertise including critical care support.
Demonstrate capabilities in ECMO, ventilator support, and related therapies as needed.
