Job summary

McPherson Hospital Inc. in McPherson, KS, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide all modalities of respiratory care across all ages.

You will work with patients, families, physicians and staff in a family-centered environment, delivering safe, evidence-based therapies. The role requires strong clinical skills, ventilator management, ABG analysis, and collaboration with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program or an associate degree in respiratory care.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a larger institution.
• Excellent time management under stress.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other departments for optimal patient care.
• Ventilator management and ABG drawing across patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain airway and provide ventilation.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and IPPV.
• Administer inhaled medications per protocol.
• Evaluate ABGs and adjust therapy as needed.
• Assist in neonate care during high-risk deliveries and sleep studies as required.
• Adapt to a hospital environment and work with the health care team to improve outcomes.
• Perform EKGs, Holter, and related monitoring when needed.
