Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory therapy and life support under supervision within a safe, therapeutic environment. The role covers neonate to geriatric patients with multi-system issues.

The position emphasizes assessments, treatment administration, and progress documentation. Required education includes an AMA-approved Associate’s degree with NH licensure, NBRC eligibility, and ILC with AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate with an Associate's degree from an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
• Certification required: AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Registration: NBRC eligibility; obtain within 2 years after hire.
• Licensure: NH State Respiratory Care license.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and adapts to changing clinical conditions.
• Administers medication to patients.
• Documents care provided and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Involves self in departmental and hospital initiatives.
• Obtains required intubations.
• Manages time and workload fluctuations.
• Acts as a preceptor to staff and students.
• Utilizes hospital information systems and equipment operations.
• Completes departmental and hospital requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
