Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in the Neonatal and Pediatric departments on a full-time basis. You will work under physician orders, administer therapies, and monitor ventilators and oxygen delivery devices for neonatal and pediatric patients.

You will participate in arterial blood gas analysis, maintain ABG equipment, and document all patient care in the electronic medical record, collaborating with nurses and physicians to ensure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Care.
• NICU/Pediatric experience preferred (2 years).
• RRT certification and Massachusetts Respiratory Care License required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and supervisors.
• Administer therapies including IS, HHN, Ventilator support for neonates and pediatrics.
• Set up and monitor oxygen devices and gas outlets; manage gas cylinders safely.
• Perform arterial blood gases and monitor results with proper documentation.
• Be part of the Neonatal transport team and participate in code/CPR as needed.
• Maintain ventilator checks, calibration and quality controls; document all care in EMR.
