Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time 36-hour work week on a 12-hour day shift. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered for new colleagues, with great benefits and day-one health coverage.

Responsibilities include administering respiratory care, operating ventilators and related devices, and providing independent clinical judgment to support high-quality patient care. Requires RRT/CRT credentials and CT licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
• CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) NBRC.
• Thorough knowledge of respiratory care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care as part of Saint Mary's Hospital Respiratory Care Department.
• Function with independent clinical judgment in delivering patient care.
• Serve as a technical resource to physicians and health care workers on respiratory practices.
• Set up, operate, and manage patient care on mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices; manage invasive ventilation modes.
