Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital in Lehigh Acres, FL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our care team. You will guide patients through routine and critical respiratory care, with access to advanced respiratory technology and role models in leadership.

You will assess respiratory status, deliver evidence-based therapy, manage ventilation and airways, educate patients and families, and ensure equipment readiness while maintaining infection-control standards across settings.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by focused exams and airway patency assessment.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen support, aerosolized meds and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airways with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses and emergencies.
• Educate patients and families, partner with physicians and nurses, assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Set up, operate, clean and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure readiness and infection control.
