HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, Florida is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS certification or equivalent must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification within 6 months of start date.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State).
• Associate degree or vocational program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance in ED, ICU, and acute settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses.
• Educate patients and families, coordinate care with physicians and nurses, and support the team.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment, ensure readiness and infection prevention protocols.
