Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer and coordinate respiratory care across life spans from neonate to geriatric. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, communicate clinical updates, and respond to emergencies with proper action.

The role requires licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Georgia and an associate degree, with experience preferred in critical care settings. You will participate in regular huddles and family of safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Therapist should have Respiratory Therapy training through an accredited school and successful completion of registry examination.
• Educational requirements: Associates Degree
• Licensure as Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Care Professional) in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with nurses on patient care issues, ventilator changes and ABG results.
• Communicates effectively with physicians on patient orders and critical ABG results.
• Provides detailed shift report, preferably at bedside.
• Documents treatments and medications delivered, vent flow sheets, in EMR and other records.
• Manages ventilators by parameters and interprets chart information to guide care.
