Job summary

MidState Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to administer respiratory therapy and support patient breathing on a 36-hour day schedule. Three 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, with a 12-week self-schedule blocks are required.

Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves administering oxygen, medications, and using ventilators and diagnostic procedures as part of a vibrant healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in AMA-approved Respiratory program.
• Ability to function as a self-directed team member.
• Must be Connecticut state licensed.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy to assist, control and/or improve patients' breathing.
• Administers oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure devices, ventilators, resuscitation devices, etc.
• Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and related duties as assigned.
