Jefferson Washington Township Hospital in Turnersville, NJ seeks an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist for a night-shift, 13-week contract. The role supports neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients across ICU, ED and NICU settings.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of respiratory therapy experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and a CRT or RRT credential, with strong skills in ABG analysis, ventilation management and airway support.

Competenze

Schedule/Shift

The position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend coverage every third weekend.

Job Description

This role is within the Respiratory Therapy department at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, supporting a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The therapist will be involved in various respiratory interventions and procedures, working closely with the Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and NICU patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct respiratory care to patients of all ages, including intubation assistance, extubation, and airway management.
• Administer pulmonary hygiene and respiratory treatments including BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments.
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) tests.
• Manage ventilatory needs including weaning patients from mechanical ventilation and operating high flow nasal cannula.
• Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal respiratory care.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and NICU experience.
• Comfort and experience in supporting Adult Critical Care, including procedures for patients with ARDS, COVID, and pneumonia.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
