Job Description

This is an RRT position within Respiratory Therapy at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital. The department supports a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Responsibilities will include providing respiratory support for patients in Adult ICU, ED, and NICU, performing intubation assistance, extubation, airway management, and ventilator management, as well as conducting arterial punctures and ABG interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Support Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and NICU patients.
• Perform intubation assistance, extubation, and airway management.
• Manage ventilator settings, including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
• Conduct arterial punctures and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Administer chest physiotherapy and respiratory treatments, including tracheostomy care.
• Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory support, including high-risk delivery support and apnea monitoring.

Required Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, specifically in Adult ICU & ED and NICU.
• Experience with ventilator management and patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, and pneumonia.
• Comfort with National/Oral suctioning and pulmonary hygiene practices.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: ACLS, BLS.
• Preferred: PALS.
• CRT will be considered.
