ARMStaffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Flint, Michigan, to provide quality patient care through airway management, ventilators, BiPAPs, and heated high flows.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, operate ventilatory equipment, and document responses while collaborating with attending and pulmonary physicians on therapy effectiveness. Night shift, 3x12 hours, contract assignment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Michigan.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsabilités

• Manage and operate Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators, Philips V60 BiPAPs, and Opti-Flow heated high flows.
• Conduct chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods.
• Perform oximetry and capnography monitoring.
• Review chest X-rays and perform 12-lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist in bronchoscopy, chest tube care, and tracheostomy care.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with attending and pulmonary physicians on therapy effectiveness.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through the management of airways, ventilators, BiPAPs, and heated high flows. The role involves evaluating patients and recommending appropriate treatment plans while operating various types of ventilatory equipment and conducting physician-prescribed treatments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators, Philips V60 BiPAPs, and Opti-Flow heated high flows.
• Conduct chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal).
• Perform oximetry and capnography monitoring.
• Review patients' chest X-rays and conduct 12-lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist in respiratory care procedures including bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
• Document all treatments and patient responses, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
• Collaborate with attending and pulmonary physicians on the efficiency of therapy.

Required Experience

• Experience with managing airways, ventilators, BiPAPs, and heated high flows.
• Proficient in using Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators, Philips V60 BiPAPs, and Opti-Flow heated high flows.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Respiratory Therapist license as required by the state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
