Responsibilities

• Evaluate and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Assess patients for appropriate treatment plans based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate practice, medication administration, and treatment outcomes
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and community resources
• Assist with equipment care, calibration, and maintenance
• Maintain departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment
• Process equipment per sterilization procedures
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from Wisconsin Medical Examining Board prior to hire
• Advanced Life Support (preferred)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification from AAP (preferred)
• Education:
• High School diploma with 2 years of experience OR
• Associate's or Technical degree OR
• 4 years of applicable experience
