Job summary

Saint Mary's Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, invites a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our compassionate team. The role supports a full range of respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric patients in a dynamic, PRN setting with variable shifts.

You will perform diagnostic tests, deliver therapies, monitor responses, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient outcomes while adhering to safety and infection-control standards. BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Required).
• CRT or RRT license in the state of practice (Required).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (Preferred).
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments with exposure to hazards.
• Strong critical-thinking, reliability, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic testing, including bedside, EKGs, blood gas analysis, and tobacco cessation education.
• Deliver respiratory therapies, monitor patient response, and communicate changes in condition.
• Respond to codes and emergent respiratory calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use, and illness management.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, manage supplies, and support performance improvement efforts.
• Provide care across neonatal through older adult populations while ensuring compliance with safety and infection‑control standards.
