Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our rotating shift transport team. You will deliver respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations, administer treatments, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostics, while following evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

You will also serve as a lead/charge therapist, guiding workflow and supporting team members within our Level III NICU and across a three-hospital network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care is required.
• Illinois RT license or license in progress within 6 months of hire.
• CRT (NBRC) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP & PALS within 90 days of hire (effective July 1, 2025).

What You’ll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist with Loyola, you will:

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in respiratory care

• Illinois RT license (or within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS

• NPS and/or ACCS credentials

RT 2 --

• Associate degree in respiratory care; Bachelor's preferred

• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association

• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (or within 6 months of hire)

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC (or within 6 months of hire)

• NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)

RT 3 --

• Associate degree in respiratory care; Bachelor's preferred

• 3 years of previous job-related experience

• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association

• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $41.35 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
