Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide hands-on care, manage ventilators, and support high-acuity codes during night shifts.

You will educate patients and families, uphold infection control, and collaborate with a team that values your expertise to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC registration as Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA).
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings based on patient needs.
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with airway management.
• Support high-acuity situations like Code III responses.
• Assist with bronchoscopies and intubations.
• Deliver therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry, and more).
• Monitor equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Educate patients and families so they feel informed and empowered.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a team that values your insight and expertise.

You'll be hands-on with both critical and general care, including:

• Managing ventilators and adjusting settings based on patient needs

Required Credentials
