Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join East Jefferson General Hospital in Louisiana. You will manage ventilators, assist with airway management, and support high-acuity Code III responses, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will deliver a range of therapies, monitor equipment, and educate patients and families while maintaining infection control and collaborating with a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Louisiana state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings based on patient needs.
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with airway management.
• Support high-acuity situations like Code III responses.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and intubation procedures.
• Deliver therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry).
• Monitor equipment and ensure safe, effective operation.
• Educate patients and families to help them feel informed and empowered.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.

You’ll be hands‑on with both critical and general care, including:

• Managing ventilators and adjusting settings based on patient needs

• Current BLS / CPR (AHA)
• ACLS Certification
