Palms Nursing Center in Chowchilla, California is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a Pulmonary Program. The role supports pulmonary and cardiac needs, collaborates with the Director of Nursing and program coordinator, and executes treatments to improve residents’ health and wellbeing.

Under supervision, the RT provides respiratory care per physician orders and facility policies, maintains infection control, and participates in program education and CQI activities

Formación

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure is required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Possesses and Maintains an active RRT credential.
• Current ACLS and BLS Certification are required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains knowledge of Pulmonary care within licensure scope.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered.
• Assess patient pain and impact on rehabilitation; coordinate nursing contact for intervention.
• Follow infection control and equipment sterilization procedures.
• Document data in the patient’s medical record after Pulmonary Program activities.
• Operate and inspect respiratory therapy equipment for safety and effectiveness.
• Formulate care plans based on learning needs and involve family as appropriate.
• Oversee daily shift operations, assign work, troubleshoot, and liaise with nursing staff and physicians.
• Remain proficient in PFTs and Bronchoscopes.
