Job summary

VillageMD seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform Pulmonary Function Tests and Spirometry, calibrate and maintain PFT equipment, and ensure accurate charting and reporting. You will educate patients on testing techniques and ensure safety protocols are followed, while coordinating with physicians for timely care.

The role requires current state licensure, BLS within 90 days of hire, and prior pulmonary function testing experience.

Qualifications

• Performs Pulmonary Function Tests and Spirometry with accuracy.
• Maintains PFT equipment per manufacturers’ specs and repairs.
• Ensures proper record keeping and timely report delivery.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound clinical practice in respiratory therapies.
• Maintains a clean and compliant PFT lab setup.
• Educates patients on proper testing technique and safety protocols.
• Documents notes and images and sends reports to physicians promptly.
• Orders and tracks respiratory supply par levels.
