Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Pulmonary Function Laboratory seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to maintain and calibrate testing equipment and collaborate with physicians to perform prescribed tests. Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required).
• 3+ years Experience in Pulmonary Function testing.
• RPFT or CPFT (Required).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (Required).
• Licensed in the State of New Jersey.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (ACLS within 3 months of hire).
• Must become CPFT or RPFT within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate all testing equipment in the laboratory.
• Work with UMCP physicians in performing the prescribed test for each patient.
• Must adhere to all regulatory standards, i.e. JCAHO, Department of Health, and CAP.
• Responsible for ensuring quality care to our customers.
• Assumes all patient/customer pulmonary function laboratory responsibilities.
• Responsible for performing all age specific testing in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
• Understands and follows the organization’s policies, procedures and standards.
• Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.
