Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to deliver patient-centered care during evening and night hours (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). You will evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and administer respiratory therapies for critically ill individuals.

This role requires NBRC CRT or RRT credential, active state licensure, and ACLS by hire date. Per diem position with a strong emphasis on quality care and mentoring families and patients.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent is required.
• Graduation proof: college transcript/diploma preferred or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be current by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Memphis, TN

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
