Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem night coverage (7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) in Augusta, GA.

The RT evaluates patients and delivers respiratory care for critically ill individuals, including endotracheal tube management and contributions to continuous quality improvement within a dedicated clinical team. Qualifications include an active NBRC CRT or RRT credential, current state licensure, and BLS; ACLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma/GED.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients.
• Perform insertion/removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Augusta, GA

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - Nights - 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.Compensation: $37.00 per hour

• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
