Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN/Per Diem shifts in Augusta, GA. The RT will evaluate patients, tailor respiratory therapy plans for critical and complex cases, and assist with procedures such as endotracheal tube insertion/removal.

The role requires active NBRC CRT or RRT credentials, state licensure, and BLS by start date; ACLS is required on hire. Part-time/per diem status and opportunities for growth are highlighted by the facility.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential (or state equivalent).
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.

• ACLS required upon hire for agency RTs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Augusta, GA

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - Days - 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.Compensation: $37.00 per hour

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
