Job summary

Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital Greensboro is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patients in a high-acuity, post-ICU setting. This PRN/Per Diem role on dayshift offers clinical autonomy and collaborative care with a dedicated team.

The RT will evaluate conditions, provide respiratory therapies, and assist with procedures while prioritizing safety and quality. Shared on-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location:Greensboro, NC (5th floor of Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital)

Schedule:PRN/Per Diem Dayshift- 7:00 am to 7:30 pmCompensation: $41.00 per hour

(Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
