Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Greensboro is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team on the Greensboro campus. The PRN/Per Diem Dayshift runs 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with compensation at $40.00 per hour and competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

The RT will evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans, provide respiratory care for critically ill patients, perform endotracheal tube insertion and removal when required, and participate in continuous

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Active CRT or RRT credential NBRC or state equivalent

Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

ACLS certification upon hire

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess \"Active\" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.


• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.


• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.


• Current state licensure is required.


• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
