Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure required.
• Three or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services highly preferred.

What you will do in this role:

1. Maintain knowledge of various methods of oxygen delivery, including necessary equipment, and assess possible side effects.
2. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purpose and possible side effects.
3. Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform associated critical care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
4. Assess patient pain levels that may interfere with rehabilitation and contact physicians for intervention as needed.
5. Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, understanding associated risks and contraindications.
6. Perform EKGs, interpret reports, and handle documentation according to department procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
• Current CPR certification (specify if BLS or ACLS)
• Three (3) or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services highly preferred
