Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performs diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitors patients on mechanical ventilation.

What You Will Do

• Perform and document assessments, conduct diagnostic procedures, administer therapies, assist with airway placement, initiate and monitor ventilation, and respond to emergencies.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Texas.
• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by NBRC.
• Minimum one year of respiratory care experience in an acute setting.
• If hired after 4/1/2015, credentialed as RRT or RPFT by NBRC upon hire.
