St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join their team. This role is responsible for executing diagnostic and treatment procedures in accordance with established protocols. Qualified candidates will have an Associate's Degree, relevant experience, and applicable licensure. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for execution of treatment, diagnostic, and monitoring procedures as specified in the Respiratory Care Department Procedure Manual in accordance with physicians’ orders and department protocols. The Pulmonary Function Technologist is responsible for the execution of pulmonary diagnostic services including pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas punctures, atopic skin testing as well as the general duties outlined in the Respiratory Care Practitioner’s job description.
Education - 2 year college (Associate's Degree) required
1-3 Years of Experience
Licensure- State of Maine Respiratory Care License
Certifications- RRT Credential through NBRC
BLS (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
