Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio in Newark is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (Per Diem) to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver respiratory care for critically ill patients. Responsibilities include managing endotracheal tubes, promoting QA, and patient/family education.

Requires NBRC CRT or RRT, BLS, state licensure, ACLS on hire; one year of related experience preferred. Per Diem/PRN schedule with 12-hour shifts during days.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital Southeast OH - Newark, OH

Schedule: PRN / As Needed / Per Diem - 12 Hour Shifts - Days

Compensation: $45.00 per Hour

Sign on Bonus: $7,500
