Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman is a critical illness recovery hospital delivering world-class inpatient post-ICU care. As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) on a Per Diem/PRN basis in Youngstown, you will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, and participate in care planning for complex cases.

The role emphasizes ACLS on hire, NBRC credentials, BLS, and state licensure, with orientation and potential advancement opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Youngstown, OH

Schedule: Day Shift (12-Hour Shifts) PRN / As Needed

Compensation: $39.00 per hour (Shift differentials for nights and weekends)

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
