Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast Ohio (Canton) in Canton, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/Per Diem assignments. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $43 and a sign-on bonus of $2,500 for PRN Days or $5,000 for PRN Nights.

The RT will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, manage endotracheal tubes, and participate in quality improvement, patient education, and family counseling. Active NBRC credentials, BLS, ACLS on hire are required.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
