Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem shifts. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care to critically ill patients and be responsible for evaluating treatment plans, inserting and removing endotracheal tubes, and delivering education to patients and their families.

The role requires an active CRT or RRT credential and BLS certification, with ACLS necessary upon hiring. This position offers a sign-on bonus and extensive orientation program.

Qualifications

• Must possess 'Active' CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Evaluating patients and recommending appropriate treatment plans.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Omaha, NE

Schedule: PRN/ 12-hour shifts / Days and Nights available

Compensation: $39.00 per hour / $5,000 sign-bonus

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
