Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Per Diem/PRN 12-hour shifts, with day and night coverage. Compensation is $42.00 per hour and a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

The RT will evaluate patients, recommend treatment plans, deliver respiratory care to critically ill patients, assist with airway management including endotracheal tubes, promote quality improvement, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) required or state equivalent.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
