Elderwood Administrative Services seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join Pediatric Specialty Care in Hopewell, PA. You will work a 12-hour night shift with a premium differential, focusing on ventilator-dependent and medically complex pediatric patients in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license.
  • RRT or CRT credentialed by NBRC.
  • CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory and ventilator assessments.
  • Evaluate weaning potential and respiratory rehabilitation opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory care plans.
  • Initiate and manage ventilator weaning protocols per physician orders.
  • Administer prescribed respiratory medications and treatments.
  • Perform scheduled and PRN respiratory interventions.
  • Monitor labs, clinical indicators, and ventilator parameters within scope of practice.
  • Document care clearly, including ventilation checks every 12 hours per PSC policy.
  • Maintain progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate findings to physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Educate families and caregivers on respiratory equipment and procedures.
  • Assist with in-service training and onboarding education for staff.
  • Ensure safe, cost-effective use of respiratory equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Respiratory Therapist (RT) Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license

  • RRT or CRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care

  • Current CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Pediatric, ventilator, or long-term care experience preferred (but not required — we will support training)
