Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in Greenville, NC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide professional respiratory care to pediatric patients, including those with tracheostomies, in a residential setting. This on-site, full-time role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The Respiratory Therapist will administer treatments, monitor equipment, educate staff and families, and help maintain infection control and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license in North Carolina (required).
• Minimum two years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; IDD populations experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approved respiratory therapy services following physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory needs; modify care plans as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation in medical records (assessments, treatments, equipment).
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff and leadership.
• Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed; train staff where applicable.
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings with updates on respiratory conditions and recommendations.
• Maintain and monitor respiratory equipment and supplies; ensure availability and functionality.
• Provide training to staff, families and service users on respiratory care practices and emergency protocols.
• Support workers’ compensation and injury prevention with respiratory health measures.
• Participate in quality assurance and facility assessments; uphold infection control procedures.
