Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with licensure.
• Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred for advancement.
• Active RRT certification with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP credentials.

Job description

The Respiratory Therapist II plays a vital role in providing complex respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings, with responsibilities including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessment.

They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and mentor new staff and students.

Core duties involve ensuring patient safety, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and promoting evidence-based practices.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program, an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred), and current licensure and certifications such as RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
