Job summary

Regency Hospital - Toledo in Sylvania, OH seeks a Respiratory Therapist for Per Diem Day Shifts. The RT will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, and support discharge planning in a critical illness recovery setting.

Candidates must hold NBRC credential (CRT or RRT), BLS, valid state licensure, and ACLS; 1 year of related experience is preferred; shifts may be at Sylvania or Oregon locations. Weekend shifts are required and shifts are 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active NBRC credential (CRT or RRT).
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification must be current by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical/complex conditions.
• Perform insertion/removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN Day Shift

Location: Sylvania, OH

Compensation: $50 per hour (plus shift differential for weekends)

Schedule

• Day Shift(6:00am to 6:30pm; 12-Hour Shifts)

• Minimum of Two 12-Hour shifts per week

• At least Three weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle

• One major and one minor holiday per year

This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.

• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

• Current state licensure is required.

• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
