Job summary

Lincare in Wilmington, MA is seeking an employee to set up highly technical respiratory equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units, and to provide technical assistance with equipment in patients' homes.

The role requires patient education, on-site assessments, and maintaining patient records in compliance with accreditation standards. A valid driver's license and willingness to work on-call evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education as part of care, often in patients' homes.
• Operate a personal vehicle to travel to patient locations.
• Perform patient assessments and maintain records per policies.
• Follow Safety & Regulatory Manual policies including OSHA, DOT, FDA requirements.
• Represent Lincare professionally in person and in reports.
• Assist with prescription collection and documentation.
• Work on-call evenings and weekends as scheduled.

This employee performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner.

• Generally responsible for the setup of highly technical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units
• Also responsible for providing technical assistance with equipment
• Incumbent may perform setup of all types of oxygen equipment as well
  

Job Functions

• Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to the patient need and Lincare policy, frequently in patients' homes
• Requires use of a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license
• Performs complete and professional patient assessments in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures
• Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, and Emergency Planning
• Represents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of written reports
• Facilitates prescription collection
• Maintains patient records in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Works on-call evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis
• Frequency is determined by the center size and the number of employees available to share in the responsibility
• Must respond in a timely manner
• Offering $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
