Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions, manage ventilators, and respond to emergencies. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and education.

The role involves night shifts (6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays, offering opportunities for professional development and advancement within a Magnet-designated hospital system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) License from Ohio Medical Board.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP or NPS certifications as appropriate for site.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiopulmonary assessment to evaluate respiratory status.
• Perform physical exams to assess breath sounds and airway patency.
• Review records and results including radiology, blood gases, hemodynamics, and PFTs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
