Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-focused respiratory care across age groups on a PRN basis for night shifts (7pm–7:30am). The role includes administering oxygen, humidification, pulmonary tests, and ventilator support under physician orders, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Candidates must have an Associate’s degree in respiratory care (or higher) with NRBC/CRT eligibility and Maryland licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or higher in respiratory care; CRT/NRBC eligibility required.
• Licenses: Maryland license to practice Respiratory Care preferred; CPR required.
• Experience: 0-3 years acute care experience.
• Certifications: ACLS/NRP/PALS within 1 year where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders and standards.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment (ventilators, oxygen, humidification).
• Review EMR and physician orders; document appropriately.
• Respond to emergencies including CPR and airway management as needed.
