Job summary

Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for the Full-Time Night Shift (3 x 12s). You will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders, operate respiratory equipment, and document patient records.

Required AS degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences, NBRC RRT eligibility, and current BLS. Licensure in Florida as an RRT is preferred. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• NBRC RRT eligibility/exam per NBRC guidelines.
• Basic computer and mechanical training required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and in the use of non-invasive ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, and other equipment required for respiratory care.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Demonstrates analytical reasoning and blends patient care management with technical expertise.
• Communicates openly with all members of the healthcare team.
• Maintains quality control and maintenance of arterial blood gas analyzers and related procedures.
