Job summary

AdventHealth in La Grange, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with rotating weekends. Starting rate is $35 per hour, and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available.

The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe patient care, and delivering respiratory therapies as part of the hospital’s care plan. Relevant NBRC credentials, BLS, and an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• NBRC credential required or preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and RRT certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to assist with patient flow.
• Interprets evaluations and test results to determine treatment plans per protocol.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies with CPR per American Heart Association guidelines.
• Operates and monitors ventilators and airway therapies per policy.
• Assesses arterial blood gases and reports findings for quality control.
